Sustainable development

We, Optimal Hotels & Residences, strongly believe in sustainable development and are convinced that your objectives can be achieved with the help of profitable projects, uniting economic, social and environmental aspects; three “pillars” that should be taken into account:

Economic: “Classic” financial performance, but with the capacity for contributing to the economic development in the field of setting up new enterprises, including all levels.

Social: Social consequences of the company’s activities on all levels: Employees (working conditions, salary level etc.), suppliers, clients, local communities and society in general, as well as basic human needs.

Environmental: Compatibility between the social activities of the company and the preservation of biodiversity and the ecosystems, which includes an analysis of the impacts of the company’s social development and of its product flow, the consumption of hardly and/or slowly renewable resources, as well as the generation of residues and emissions… This last “pillar” is of great importance in order to maintain stability of the others.

The systems of environmental management can provide a mean of continuous improvement of hotels, regarding their daily activities and their impact on the environment. In this way, certified by a third and independent part, they are able to grant a higher credibility and transparency of their economic activities.

Apart from the environmental impact, hotels with management systems that include further aspects of sustainable development also consider the influence on the socioeconomic as well as on the cultural environment of their destinations.
